We are seeking a part-time Purr-ista (Café Associate) to provide great customer service while preparing and serving food & beverages. You’ll also care for the cats onsite and support interactions and adoptions!

What you’ll be doing (as part of a team with training):
- Promoting a positive image of the organization through excellent customer service
- Preparing food and beverages to order
- Scheduling and monitoring animal interactions
- Operating the point-of-sale system and cash register for purchases
- Ensuring all areas are maintained to health and safety standards
- Keeping animal areas clean and calming
- License all animals in accordance with regulations
- Manage all animal adoptions
What you’ll need to be successful (minimum requirements):
- Work experience in retail or animal welfare.
- A valid and active WA food work card.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, verbal or written, in repetitious tasks and one-off situations.
- A proven record of dependability.
- Strong communication skills to demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, tact, compassion, and sound judgment to your coworkers and community members.
- High proficiency in learning new software systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and/or stoop for entire shift / extended periods of time; hear sufficiently; regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
