General Functions:
Under the direction of the Membership Director and in the absence of senior department staff, the Building Supervisor will be responsible for the overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds during evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities Functions/Duties/Tasks
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
· Monitors security procedures and facility operations during the assigned shift ensuring compliance with all established policies and procedures with safety of members and participants as a primary concern; takes appropriate action to ensure the same.
· Maintains visible presence throughout shift serving as first point of contact for member concerns; Builds relationships when working with YMCA members, program participants, staff and volunteers.
· Provide support to Y staff as needed.
· Serves as the primary responder to facility operation incidents and accidents. Files incident and accident reports.
· Serves as primary responder to all security issues and fire alarms.
· Reports maintenance or repair issues to appropriate personnel.
· Responsible for helping to open and close the facility (if applicable).
· Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, procedures and completes applicable paperwork.
· Follows Youth Protection policy by properly monitoring, screening and reporting.
· Attends required meetings, completes required training and responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
· All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
· Must have good relationship building skills, be friendly and courteous.
· Must have good communication skills with the ability to maintain professional demeanor.
· Must be proficient in problem-solving and require no supervision.
· Possess strong relationship building, communication and organizational skills.

· Specific visual acuity required by this job includes the ability to operate handheld electronic devices, read settings on exercise equipment and focus on objects up to 80 feet away.
Work Environment:
· The work environment is mostly indoors in a temperature controlled environment; however, there may be outdoor interactions for short periods.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be elevated at times.
