Essential Functions
- Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries during lab business hours, providing exceptional customer service.
- Accession and triage submitted samples efficiently to ensure timely processing.
- Collaborate with central receiving for secure sample delivery and proper handling.
- Organize and maintain the laboratory archive and data , ensuring easy access and accuracy.
- Communicate with stakeholders to troubleshoot sample submission, processing, and preanalytical issues.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures that enhance laboratory operations.
- Show initiative and teamwork in supporting various laboratory tasks.
- Exhibit professionalism through courteous and adaptable interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment , ensuring equipment and work areas are ready for use.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating lab equipment , ensuring functionality and reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Assist supervisors with inventory management by notifying them of needed materials and supplies for teaching and lab maintenance.
- Support clinical student integration by managing teaching supplies and equipment alongside daily lab duties.
- Facilitate student-related activities , including scheduling, preparation, and creation of teaching materials based on lab data.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and report preparation, as needed.
- Commit to maintaining high standards of good laboratory practices .
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Level I - High school diploma or equivalent.
Level II - High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience in providing assistance in a lab setting. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
Level III - High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant experience in providing assistance in a lab setting. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
