Job Summary | The Miller Writing Center (MWC) invites applications for peer consultants, the primary providers of support to student writing at Auburn University. Peer consultants assist clients with writing projects through one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions. Students offered the job will need to complete the hiring process with Human Resources by May 2, 2025, which will likely entail a face-to-face employment eligibility verification appointment where you must present original identity and employment authorization documents. Successful candidates will begin asynchronous online training on May 2025, and start to work at the writing center on August 2025, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years. The MWC seeks to employ a diverse team of students with different language backgrounds, life experiences, areas of expertise, knowledge, perspectives, and strengths. Candidates from any academic discipline are encouraged to apply as long as their interests and/or career goals align with the work of the Miller Writing Center and University Writing.
