The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Veterinary Assistant - Inpatient ER (Swing Shift) to work in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room (ER) section of our Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital. The individual in this position will work directly with the IMC clinicians and rotating intern doctors to help facilitate quality care and patient flow through the IMC, ICU, and ER. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications | Depending upon a combination of education and experience, the finalist selected for this position will be hired as a Veterinary Assistant - Inpatient and assigned levels II, or III. Level II: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. Level III: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment. Substitutions allowed for Education: Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed. Substitutions allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
