Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for an I npatient Vet Technician to work in the Intermediate Care ( IMC ), Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ), and Emergency Room (ER) section of our Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital . The individual in this position will work directly with the IMC clinicians and rotating intern doctors to help facilitate quality care and patient flow through the IMC , ICU , and ER.
- This is an overnight shift rotating monthly between weekends and weekdays;
Monday - Thursday 10 : 00PM - 8 : 00AM, Friday -Sunday 7 : 00PM - 8 : 00AM.

Minimum Qualifications
Depending upon a combination of education and experience, the finalist selected for this position will be hired as a Veterinary Technician - Inpatient and assigned levels I , II , or III .
Level I : Requires an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field that qualifies an individual to obtain certification.
Level II : Requires an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field that qualifies an individual to obtain certification plus 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
Level III : Requires an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field that qualifies an individual to obtain certification plus 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
Substitutions allowed for Education :
Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed.
Substitutions allowed for Experience :
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

Active license with the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Technician,
