Job Description: Loan Setup Disclosure & Mortgage Support Specialist
Reports To: SVP Mortgage Division
Wage Classification: Non-exempt, Grade
Supervises: No Supervisory Responsibility
JOB SUMMARY
The Loan Setup Disclosure & Mortgage Specialist is primarily responsible for preparing loan disclosures and any re-disclosures, auditing for file completeness and accuracy and to ensure compliance prior to sending initial disclosures and loan estimate. Specialist will anticipate needs, think critically and offer solutions with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. In addition to Loan Setup Disclosure, Specialist will support Mortgage Division and will assist SVP Mortgage with administrative and operational duties within the department. This position is detail intensive, requires excellent communication skills and strong judgement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare initial and/or re-disclosure packages based on loan type and state requirements
- Receive and review loan application package from Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO)
- Partner with third parties to obtain needed documentation
- Request any outstanding documentation required to generate initial Loan Estimate (LE)
- Verifies accuracy of information, fees and documentation of each file in accordance with internal policies and regulations
- Submits fee requests to service providers (when required)
- Manages pipeline to prioritize files based on purchase or refinance and estimated closing date
- Produce high-quality disclosures with minimal defects and reduced risk exposure
- Must know status of loans and responsible for consistently updating loan officer and processor
- Ensure customer privacy, security of files and appropriate staff access
- Perform administrative duties to include but not limited to greeting customers, answering phones, preparing reports and providing support to the Mortgage department
- Supports the department’s clean desk policy by sweeping printers and scanners
- Serve as backup to other positions in Residential Mortgage Division
- Ability to show discretion and confidentiality with executive-level matters
- Other duties as needed
This position is considered non-exempt and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years administrative or operational experience
- Experience in mortgage lending, real estate, or banking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with Encompass
