About the role

The Senior Content Marketing Manager is a strategic individual contributor responsible for developing and executing Auctane’s content strategy. Your primary focus will be driving customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value through compelling, audience-focused content. You'll manage and implement a consistent publishing calendar, oversee content creation across multiple channels (mailing, SMB shipping, API solutions), and ensure alignment with SEO best practices. Additionally, you'll lead the organic social media strategy and leverage analytics to guide content decisions.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas. 

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

We are on a mission to revitalize the eCommerce industry’s ability to make fast decisions regarding their shipping software provider based on our customer-centric content programs.

What will you be doing?

Primary Objectives:

  • Content Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive content strategy and calendar aligned with business objectives and audience needs.
  • Educational Content Creation: Produce high-quality webinars, ebooks, podcasts, demos, blogs, and whitepapers.
  • SEO Alignment: Collaborate closely with SEO specialists to optimize content, balancing quality, relevance, and search performance.
  • Influencer & Partner Collaboration: Develop relationships with industry influencers and content partners to boost brand credibility and extend reach.
  • Performance Measurement: Define clear metrics for content success, analyze performance, and adapt strategies based on data insights.

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Planning: Establish a detailed content strategy that supports product marketing initiatives and overall brand messaging.
  • Content Production: Plan, produce, and manage diverse content formats to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with SEO, creative, product marketing, web, and demand generation teams to enhance growth.
  • Influencer Engagement: Identify and engage influential voices within relevant industries to elevate brand authority.
  • Performance Analysis: Regularly monitor content metrics and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Content Calendar Management: Maintain a comprehensive and organized publishing schedule aligned with marketing initiatives.
  • Industry Insights: Stay informed on trends and preferences within e-commerce, shipping technology, and SMB markets to inform content strategy.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 6- 8 years of experience in content marketing or product marketing, including strategic content planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated success in creating engaging content that meets clear business objectives.
  • Deep understanding of SEO best practices and proven collaboration with SEO teams.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to manage content calendars and drive content execution across multiple channels.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, particularly e-commerce or technology sectors.
