We are currently seeking a Senior IBM i Software Developer to join our team. This role has the

opportunity to join us as a Hybrid employee in our Franklin, TN office area or as a Remote

employee. This position will be responsible for code maintenance as well as system development

and analysis - some concentration on projects surrounding our financial / accounting systems.

This role seeks a motivated individual who actively explores new technologies, tools, and frameworks while

solving problems with curiosity, attention to detail, and a focus on understanding systems deeply. The

successful candidate will demonstrate adaptability, resourcefulness, collaboration, and persistence, with a keen

ability to see how system components fit together. Preferred experience includes developing applications in an

RPG / ILE environment with Embedded SQL. Knowledge of Java and / or COBOL is advantageous. The position

requires creative thinking, problem-solving, and thoughtful architecture to implement innovative and

modernized application solutions.

Responsibilities :

• Work directly with the business to understand business requirements and translate them into functional and technical design documents
• Ability to handle multiple tasks as well as work well under pressure and meet project deadlines or targets
• Conduct code reviews for the deliverables prepared by other team members, capture review / test defects & perform causal analysis at regular intervals to prevent a recurrence
• Evaluate opportunities across multiple technologically divergent legacy systems
• Accountable for both well considered, longer term architecture and implementation with a mix of issues that must be mitigated to the greatest extent possible and turned around quickly to customers
• Provide cross-training for development team, communicating clearly to meet organizational goals, and ensure thorough documentation is provided for all products
• Take strategic plans and make the tactical implementations happen in code
• Work closely with the customer support team while utilizing the ticket system to resolve issues raised by business users
• Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately with cross-functional team members to meet organizational goals
• Work with senior IBM i Developers to learn Edge supported modules as requested by the Development Manager.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications, system processes, and development standards.
• Ensure all solutions comply with relevant security, regulatory, and company standards.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, providing Level 3 support for complex problems.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
