Director of Transfer Center Position Summary : Reporting to the National Director, the Director of Transfer Center plays a crucial role in creating growth and outreach initiatives. Responsibilities include developing Transfer Center protocols for patient-centered care, ensuring effective transfer management. The position involves collaboration with the Transfer Center Manager, overseeing 24 / 7 operations, and maintaining EMTALA compliant timely transfers.
Responsibilities :
Effective communication and collaboration with hospital and community leadership.
Leadership role supporting the hospital's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Continuous assessment, improvement, coordination, and integration of department services.
Strategic planning, reporting, budgetary and fiscal accountability.
Employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, and approving supply orders.
Qualifications : Education :
Required : Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or related field, or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
Preferred : BSN or MSN.
Experience :
Required : 5 years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting with three years of supervisory experience.
Preferred : Prior experience managing or directing a Transfer Center Program.
License / Certifications :
Required : Registered Nurse License.
Preferred : BLS.
