Job Title: Engagement Lead - Enterprise-wide Communications Strategy and Execution
Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite)

Position Overview:
The Engagement Lead will lead a team of communicators and brand specialists, playing a pivotal role in guiding the company through transformative change. This role requires a proven leader with significant experience advising senior executives and working directly with the C-suite, providing strategy and communications guidance at the highest level. The successful candidate will not only manage the day-to-day execution of communication strategies but also offer executive-level insights to drive internal and external messaging aligned with the organization's transformation goals. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on creating impactful, timely communication strategies that engage key stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communications Leadership: Act as the main point of contact for enterprise-wide communications, working directly with the C-suite, PMO, and other key stakeholders to align internal and external communications with transformation goals.
- Strategy Development: Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive enterprise-wide communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s transformation goals. This includes synthesizing insights from leadership, stakeholders, and employees to develop messaging frameworks tailored for both global and regional needs. Strategically integrate communication channels and touchpoints to ensure clarity, consistency, and engagement across diverse audiences, while balancing immediate communication needs with long-term organizational objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all levels of the organization.
- Change Management: Ensure communications align with the Client’s transformation goals, engaging employees internally and reinforcing messaging externally.
- Leadership Development: Provide coaching and development for leaders across the organization on effective communication practices that enhance engagement and trust during transformation initiatives.
- Best Practices: Leverage industry best practices to ensure communications strategies are cutting-edge, effective, and aligned with current trends in organizational and external communications.
- Innovative Communication Practices: Explore and implement innovative communication tools and channels to enhance message delivery and engagement for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Implementation Support: Provide hands-on implementation of the communications strategy, including managing logistics, overseeing content creation, and supporting leadership communication.
- Project Management: Lead day-to-day execution of internal and external enterprise-wide communications strategy, ensuring timely delivery of all project milestones.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics and feedback mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and continuously refine the approach for maximum impact.
- Monitoring & Feedback: Track progress against project milestones, gathering feedback, and adjusting the strategy to improve communication effectiveness and support organizational goals.
- Onsite Collaboration: Be onsite in Waltham, MA, 2-3 days per week to provide real-time support and advisory, fostering close collaboration with leadership and teams.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in internal and external communications, change management, or related fields.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of working with senior leadership teams to align communication strategies with organizational objectives.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience leading and managing communication projects from inception to execution, with a focus on driving measurable results.
- Communications Strategy: Strong background in developing and executing comprehensive communications strategies for both global and regional audiences.
- Change Management: Experience in supporting large-scale organizational transformations through effective communication strategies.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the life sciences, technology, or similar sectors is preferred, with an understanding of both internal and external communication dynamics.
- Innovation: Proven ability to explore and implement new communication technologies and practices to enhance engagement and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytics & Feedback: Experience using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and refine approaches for maximum impact.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in communications or change management are a plus.
