Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team and work on-site in our Avon, CT office. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and support the accounting department and operations manager in various tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of financial data and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting processes.
Duties
- Assist in preparing and processing journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping tasks.
- Billing and collections (no phone calls needed).
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy.
- Assist in additional projects in support of client operations, member services and events.
Requirements
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on technical accounting skills.
- Knowledge of accounting software, specifically QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn additional systems as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping role.
