This position is responsible for prepping and deprepping event equipment, assisting with event set-ups, and maintaining inventory for a variety of events. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment for upcoming events by ensuring all tools and materials are organized, clean, and in working order.
- Dismantle and deprep event equipment after events, ensuring everything is packed properly for storage.
Event Set-Up & Tear Down Assistance:
- Collaborate with the event production team to assist in the physical setup and teardown of event equipment, stages, audio-visual gear, lighting, and other materials.
- Ensure event setups are completed in a timely and professional manner according to the specific requirements of each event.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in tracking and maintaining inventory levels of equipment and materials.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and assist with repairs or replacements as needed.
- Ensure proper storage of equipment after each event to maintain order and prevent damage.
Transportation & Loading:
- Load and unload event equipment from trucks and transport it to and from event sites as necessary.
- Safely handle and transport materials to ensure safe delivery.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
Team Collaboration:
- Work alongside other team members to achieve smooth execution of event setups and takedowns.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members regarding project needs or updates.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in event production, construction, or a similar labor-intensive role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Basic knowledge of event equipment and tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles (if required).
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Physical labor is required, including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
