Job Description
As a General AV/IT Technician, you will be ensuring the smooth setup and strike of AV/IT equipment for various events.
- Equipment Setup: Assist in the installation and configuration of computer equipment and other related technology. Ensure all equipment is properly installed, connected and functioning by testing in compliance with high-quality standards.
- Event Support and Troubleshooting: Work on-site during events to provide technical support and troubleshoot quickly and efficiently any issues that may arise.
- Cable Management: Handle cable management to maintain a clean and organized setup, ensuring safety and efficiency during the event. Properly label and secure cables to minimize trip hazards or equipment damage.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor equipment performance throughout the event to ensure uninterrupted operations and it is in good working condition.
- Load-In and Load-Out: Assist with the transportation of audiovisual/IT equipment to event venues and participate in load-in and load-out activities, ensuring timely setup and teardown.
- Venue Liaison: Collaborate with venue staff and event organizers to coordinate logistical details and ensure the smooth integration of audiovisual components with the overall event setup and execution.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in basic computer /IT equipment setup and strike.
- Some familiarity with computers.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong demonstration of professionalism, punctuality, reliability timely interpersonal communication and integrity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced event environment.
- Ongoing availability and flexible schedule.
- Must be independent and perform jobs as a contractor.
