Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instrument Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical instrumentation and patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our clinical environment. This role is critical in supporting patient assessments and contributing to overall patient service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain medical instruments used for patient assessment and diagnostics.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated, functioning correctly, and meets safety standards.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in conducting tests and procedures, providing support during patient evaluations.
  • Document instrument performance and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Collaborate with other medical staff to improve patient care processes.
  • Provide education to patients regarding the use of specific instruments or procedures as needed.
  • Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and instrumentation.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to understand the implications of various medical procedures.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in pediatrics and occupational health is preferred.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments with a focus on safety and comfort.
  • Familiarity with coding practices related to medical instrumentation.
  • Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.47 - $40.82 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
