What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) position at Audiology Concepts?
Summary:
The primary job function of the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is to promote better hearing by coordinating all aspects of patient care at Audiology Concepts. The PCC is a crucial part of our patient care team. They are the first person patients encounter at Audiology Concepts and they lay the groundwork for how a patient or guest of the practice will be treated.
We take pride in being the best hearing practice in terms of patient care and customer service. There are certain aspects of the PCC role that support other roles within the clinic, but everyone in the practice is expected to help support our PCCs in achieving their goals as well.
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week. The position will work Monday - Thursday in our Forest Lake clinic location and Friday in our Cambridge location.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for telephone communication with patients.
a. Answer all incoming telephone calls for multiple clinic locations.
b. Proactively call scheduled patients to confirm appointments.
c. Reach out and schedule appointments from online appointment generator.
2. Ensure the clinic is warm and inviting for any visitors.
a. Provide our patients and visitors with a welcoming environment, ensure the reception area is clean and tidy and make fresh cookies and coffee each day.
b. Greet patients with a smile as they arrive, inform hearing care providers when their patient is ready.
3. Responsible for the clinic schedule across all locations.
a. Patient communication can come in for any of our 6 current locations, and the PCC is responsible for appropriately scheduling for all hearing care providers in any clinic.
4. Complete all administrative work in a timely manner.
a. Ensure all intake forms have been properly filled out.
b. Process payments for patient visits.
