About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Technician to join our team. This is a key role in our organization, responsible for leading installations and project tasks, mentoring junior technicians, and acting as a primary point of contact for clients and contractors. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Lead Technician will ensure every project meets our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation and service of integrated systems, including audio/video equipment, networking, Savant, Lutron, Control4, and other home systems.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and contractors, maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Mentor and train junior technicians to build a strong, capable team.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage tools and equipment on-site, including the use of company-provided specialty tools.
- Maintain project documentation and provide updates as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6-10 years in the custom integration industry or related fields.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Savant, Lutron, Control4, networking equipment, and other related home systems.
- Certifications: CEDIA, CTS, or other relevant certifications are strongly preferred.
- Tools: Must provide personal hand tools; specialty and large tools will be provided by AudioWorks.
- Software Skills: Experience with Lutron Designer, Savant Blueprint, and Control4 Composer is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability and composure in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills for client and contractor interactions.
- Leadership qualities to mentor and guide junior team members.
