About the Job
As the HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior management to drive the company's people strategy and support business growth by providing HR solutions in support of achieving business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor and partner to business leaders, providing advice, guidance, and support on all HR matters, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, career development, corrective actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, employee engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides guidance and input on business organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for employees and managers.
- Collaborates with the People Development team in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting needs on an annual and quarterly basis.
- Support the Head of HR in delivering annual activities including the annual salary and bonus reviews.
- Support all employee benefits program, including retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and various insurance policies such as health, life, and disability.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a HRBP or HR Manager role
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, including talent management, compensation, employee relations, performance management & leave of absence administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Location
This role offers the flexibility to work from our Boston office on a hybrid basis or fully remotely, depending on your location.
Compensation:
- Salary of $85,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience)
- Discretionary annual bonus plan
