Audubon is currently seeking a I&E Project Specialist to join our team in our Houston, TX Energy Corridor office. The I&E Project Specialist will involve supporting construction project execution by reviewing specifications, scope, and schedules, preparing procedures, and coordinating with I&E subcontractors. Responsibilities include managing changes, ensuring timely material delivery, verifying equipment compliance, and facilitating communication between subcontractors and engineering. The role also includes conducting inspections, ensuring code compliance, and ensuring I&E installations meet client specifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with development of construction project execution procedures
- Review project specifications, scope of work procedures and schedules.
- Prepare fabrication related procedures, method statements and work instructions.
- Review and coordinates all I&E subcontractor scopes, areas of concerns, and advises on schedule or cost impacts.
- Review drawings and other design deliverables to ensure adequate planning of all the activities, fabrication, installation, precommissioning / commissioning execution.
- Review changes in scope, additional works & reworks, and assist I&E Department with initiating Change Orders
- Be aware with Supply Chain Management and pro-actively expedite the late delivery of materials to projects.
- Responsible for assisting Supply Chain Management in dealing with vendors providing equipment and materials to a project and the verification of purchased equipment and materials to plans and specifications
- Will be responsible to interface with design engineering organization and Subcontractor.
- Facilitate communication between Subcontractor and Engineering on technical matters
- Walk down E&I system and develop red-lined drawings
- Assure engineering practices, codes, and standards are compliant with Federal, State and Local, as well as site-specific requirements
- Ensure periodic inspection of E&I subcontractor field documents for regular maintenance of as-built records by subcontractors
- Review and interpret project piping specifications and drawings; as it relates to E&I prepare Requests for Information (RFI) and Field Work Orders (FWO) and implement engineering dispositions Identify field changes, propose design engineering changes, and coordinating with and obtaining approval of Design Engineering regarding resolution of all engineering/design issues.
- Assist with project site walks and bid walks
- Insuring all I&E installations are within client specifications or NEC code, and client signoff.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Industry experience required.
- Field experience required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of the design of instrumented control and safety systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of instrument and electrical design codes (ISA, NEC, API, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
