Position : Clinic Receptionist
Department : Physician Clinics
Hours : Full-Time
General Description :
Performs a wide variety of duties relative to patient admitting, clerical support, supplies / inventory, etc. Responsible for answering and redirecting all incoming calls to the clinic to the appropriate contact. Checks in patients, schedules appointments, takes messages and greets patients / visitors.
Establishing and maintaining rapport with all individuals, both clinic and hospital personnel and the community at-large are essential. Works in an atmosphere that requires teamwork and an orientation toward maintaining a high public image.
Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule during regular business hours.
Experience / Education Requirements :
A high school diploma, or equivalent, required. Relevant clinical experience preferred. Previous customer service experience required. Previous scheduling and reception experience in a healthcare setting, preferred. Must be able to multitask, good with computers, able to navigate multiple EHRs. Word and excel experience desired. Clinical experience as a nurse assistant or medical assistant desired.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a 17 bed, Critical Access Hospital serving Audubon County and the surrounding areas, with the mission of “Excellence With Quality and Compassion to Those We Serve.” Our services include emergency services, acute care, skilled nursing services, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical services. In addition, we offer several specialty services including orthopedic, mental health, pain management, podiatry, oncology, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, rheumatology, and urology.
We also operate two rural health clinics, Audubon Family Health Care Clinic and Exira Medical Clinic. Our clinics offer complete care from newborns to senior adults by providing well child check-ups, age-appropriate preventative care, sports and school physicals, immunizations, and treatment of occasional and ongoing illnesses.
