What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fertility Clinic RN position at Audubon Fertility?
The primary function of this position is working as a treatment care coordinator for infertility patients/couples. Responsibilities include coordination, case management and clinical treatment of fertility patients and extensive patient education. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
Responsibilities
- Obtains blood pressure/weights and places patients in exam rooms
- Keeps exam rooms clean, neat and stocked
- Orders medical supplies and medications
- Perform phlebotomy as needed
- Takes phone calls from patients, discusses with physician and returns calls
- Helps with initial history taking and physical assessments
- Reviews and interprets labs with physician supervision
- Updates EMR with patient information including conversations
- Maintains nursing station
- Reviews patient history, medications, and makes pre-assessment decisions prior to appointment and/or procedure
- Telephonic follow-up to address questions and concerns
- Schedules appointments as needed
- Provides patient education to explain and define complicated medical treatments and procedures
- Teaches medication injection techniques to patients
- Assists with the coordination, case management and treatment of the clinical care for patients in conjunction with established clinical protocols
- OI/IVF procedure teaching and scheduling of treatment after initial and follow-up visits
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
- Supports patients through the assisted reproductive treatment (ART) process from diagnosis to outcome
- Demonstrates expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team playing
- Develops and maintains a partnership with communication between provider and patient to facilitate and navigate through treatment and follow up
- Other duties as required
Skills
- At least 1 year experience as an RN
- Knowledge of medical clinic processes and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
