Job Description :

Our client is looking for an experienced librarian to join their team and provide exceptional service to library patrons. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the library operates smoothly, assisting patrons in finding the resources they need, and handling various administrative and organizational tasks.

Responsibilities :
Oversee the daily operations of the library to ensure cleanliness, order, and the protection of resources.
Assist patrons at the circulation desk and provide excellent customer service, including answering phones and addressing questions.
Develop, organize, and update library inventory, including books, periodicals, and multimedia collections.
Conduct regular updates and checks on the library s electronic database.
Guide patrons in finding research materials and references.
Answer patron inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Publish and update content on the library s website (e.G., book summaries, reviews, blog posts).
Organize and promote library activities and events (e.G., children s storytelling, author readings, book sales).
Requirements :
Previous experience as a librarian or in a similar role.
Proficiency with computers and working knowledge of electronic databases and information management systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Patient, friendly, and approachable personality with a strong customer service focus.
A passion for promoting reading and library services.
