Role Overview: As the General Manager of Augie's Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, motivate, and inspire our team members to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant efficiency. The General Manager will report directly to the restaurant owners and will have the authority to make operational decisions to ensure the restaurant's continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to all restaurant staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members to maximize their potential and contribute to the restaurant's success.
- Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations to drive continuous improvement and ensure staff accountability.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain optimal stock levels to support seamless service and prevent shortages.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various restaurant activities to uphold consistency and quality.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure guests receive outstanding service and memorable dining experiences that align with Augie's brand image and reputation.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints with professionalism and empathy, seeking to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, cost control measures, and financial plans to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
- Analyze financial reports, sales data, and other performance metrics to make informed decisions for enhancing restaurant revenue.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with local health regulations and restaurant policies.
- Conduct regular inspections and safety training to ensure a safe working environment for all team members and patrons.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute strategies for promoting the restaurant and attracting new customers.
- Participate in community events and partnerships to increase Mister Sizzles' visibility and engagement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience (2 years) in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
- Strong business acumen and financial management capabilities.
- Outstanding customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Closed, Thanks Giving, Superbowl Sunday, Easter, July 4 and Christmas Eve and Day and close early NYE and other days.
