About the Role

We're looking for a Developer Advocate to join us in our mission to transform software engineering. In this role, you'll create engaging content and build communities around AI-powered development tools to drive awareness, adoption, and advocacy for Augment. You'll help developers integrate AI into their daily workflows by sharing best practices, tips and tricks, and telling stories about other successful AI-enabled engineers. You'll be the voice of the developer community within Augment by sharing their feedback to shape the future of our products and business.

You'll spend your time...

Creating technical content that demonstrates practical applications of AI coding tools, particularly in open source development, including tutorials, blog posts, and video content that's both informative and entertaining.
Building and nurturing relationships with large, complex open source projects and showing how AI tools can address their pain points in project maintenance and contribution through personalized outreach.
Share success stories and learnings from the open source community, our team, customers, and the broader developer community
Participate in, speak at, and host developer events, hackathons, and meetups to connect directly with the community.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure developer feedback informs product development.

Your skills and background may include...

3 years of relevant experience in developer relations and developer advocacy with a track record of building authentic relationships in technical communities

Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts by creating engaging developer-focused content (articles, videos, tutorials)

3 years of software development background using modern development workflows and practices

Understanding of open source culture and best practices with experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong public speaking abilities and conference presentation experience

Interest in and an understanding of generative AI and developer productivity

Compensation and Benefits :

Base Salary : $180K to $220K, plus equity.
