About the Role
We're looking for a Technical Content Marketing Lead to drive our content strategy and drive awareness and conversion for Augment Code as the tool of choice for AI-enhanced coding and a world-class engineering and AI research org. With a developer-first mindset, you'll create compelling technical content that showcases our product's capabilities and our AI research while providing genuine value to the developer community.
This high-impact role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and storytelling. You'll own our editorial calendar, produce in-depth technical content, and find innovative ways to distribute it to developers where they already are. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with our AI researchers, software engineers, and leadership to transform their expertise into compelling content.
This is a foundational role perfect for someone who has built technical content programs for software engineers in the past and is excited to do it again in the incredibly fun world of developer AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Content Creation: Produce high-quality, technically accurate long-form blog posts, tutorials, company announcements, and product launch content that resonates with developers
- Editorial Strategy: Develop and manage our content roadmap and editorial calendar aligned with research breakthroughs, product launches, and marketing initiatives
- SEO Optimization: Apply SEO best practices to increase organic discoverability of our content
- Distribution Strategy: Identify and leverage channels to amplify content reach within developer communities
- Video Content: Either produce or manage contractors for technical video content from concept to publication
- Performance Measurement: Track and analyze content performance, using data to refine our approach
- Thought Leadership: Position Augment Code as an authority in developer productivity and AI tooling through strategic content initiatives
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and community teams to identify content opportunities and technical insights
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in technical content creation, with a focus on developer audiences
- Strong technical background, ideally with hands-on software development experience
- Demonstrated success managing editorial calendars and content pipelines
- Proven track record of creating content that drives engagement and conversion
- Experience with SEO best practices and content distribution strategies
- Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to technical accuracy
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content
- Experience with or aptitude for video content production a plus
- Understanding of developer workflows, tools, and pain points
