Job Overview

As an Associate Cost Analyst, you will assist in analyzing and managing costs related to production, operations, and projects. This role is crucial for helping the organization optimize expenses and improve financial performance through detailed cost analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and analyzing cost data for various departments, projects, and product lines.
• Support the preparation of cost reports, including cost variance analysis and cost trend evaluations.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to identify and analyze cost-saving opportunities.
• Help develop and maintain cost models, budgets, and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Monitor and report on cost performance, identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost control procedures and processes.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support project evaluations and investment decisions.
• Prepare and present cost analysis findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost accounting, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex cost data and provide actionable insights.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
