Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's risk management strategy, framework, and policies to effectively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Oversee the risk management function, including risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk reporting activities.
- Lead the development of risk management programs and internal controls to protect the organization from potential risks.
- Monitor and analyze risk trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to proactively address and manage risks.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors on risk-related matters.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure risk management practices are integrated into business processes and decision-making.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies and adjust as needed.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of risk management reports to senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Manage and mentor the risk management team, fostering a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM)) are preferred.
- 15 years of experience in risk management, with a proven track record in senior risk management roles and leadership positions.
- Extensive knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex risk scenarios and develop strategic solutions.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in managing and developing risk management teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
