Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and monitor strategic diversity and inclusion initiatives that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Training and Education: Design and deliver training programs on diversity, inclusion, unconscious bias, and cultural competency for employees at all levels.
- Policy Review: Review and revise company policies and procedures to ensure they promote diversity and inclusion.
- Employee Resource Groups: Support and guide the establishment and growth of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Recruitment and Retention: Partner with HR to develop strategies for attracting and retaining a diverse workforce.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze diversity metrics and employee feedback to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Consultation and Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on diversity and inclusion matters, providing insights and recommendations.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and communities to promote the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Diversity and Inclusion Expertise: Strong understanding of D&I principles, best practices, and legal requirements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Training and Facilitation: Experience in designing and delivering effective training programs and workshops.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and use insights to drive decision-making.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.
- Cultural Competency: Deep understanding of various cultural contexts and the ability to navigate and respect diverse perspectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, human resources, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Certification in diversity and inclusion (e.g., Cornell University’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate, SHRM-CP/SCP) is a plus.
