Key Responsibilities
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Develop and execute strategies to improve healthcare processes and patient outcomes. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify areas for improvement.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to patient care and operational performance. Utilize statistical tools to monitor trends and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and internal policies. Stay current with best practices and industry standards in quality improvement.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on quality improvement methodologies, tools, and processes. Facilitate workshops and presentations to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, improvement projects, and outcomes. Present findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Project Management: Lead and manage quality improvement projects, including setting objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Patient Safety: Monitor and address patient safety concerns. Implement and oversee programs designed to reduce the risk of errors and enhance patient care.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality - CPHQ) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement or a related role. Experience with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and data management systems.
