As a FIG Investment Banking Associate, you will play a critical role in developing and executing financial strategies for clients within the financial institutions group, including banks, insurance companies, and other financial services firms. This role requires a deep understanding of the regulatory and economic environment affecting financial institutions, along with strong analytical and client management skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling for mergers, acquisitions, and other advisory services specific to financial institutions.
- Develop pitch books and presentations to propose strategic options to clients.
- Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with clients and other external partners such as legal and accounting services.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating financial transactions.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the financial institutions sector.
- Support senior bankers in client meetings, offering analytical support and strategic advice.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in all transactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Participate in all stages of deal execution, from initial client pitches to transaction closing.
- Engage in client development activities including networking events and industry conferences.
- MBA or equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- 2-3 years of investment banking experience, corporate finance experience, or management consulting experience, preferably within a FIG or related sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial modelling, valuation, and transaction structuring.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape for financial institutions.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficient in the use of financial databases and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
