As a Junior Financial Analyst - FP&A at Augmentjobs, you will play a key role in the Financial Planning & Analysis team. You will assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior analysts and financial managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and provide insights to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future financial performance. Support the annual budgeting process, including preparing budget templates and consolidating budget submissions.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Prepare reports detailing variances and providing actionable insights to management.
- Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist in the creation of executive summaries and financial presentations.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support decision-making. Develop ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and reporting tools. Assist in implementing best practices and streamlining workflows.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including accounting, operations, and senior management to gather relevant data and provide financial insights.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on FP&A preferred. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
