Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Private Equity Analyst to join our team. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the private equity industry. The successful candidate will support the investment team in evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting market research, and performing financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the analysis of financial statements, models, and valuations to support investment decisions. Develop and maintain financial models and perform scenario analysis.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence on potential investment targets, including industry research, competitor analysis, and market trends. Compile and synthesize data to inform investment recommendations.
  • Deal Execution: Support the deal execution process by preparing investment memoranda, presentation materials, and other documentation required for investment committees.
  • Market Research: Perform comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential investment opportunities.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, including financial performance and operational metrics. Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the investment team, including organizing meetings, maintaining databases, and managing documentation.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. CFA Level I or progress towards CFA certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in finance, investment banking, or a related field is preferred. Internships or relevant coursework in private equity or investment analysis are also valuable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling. Experience with financial databases and analysis tools is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
