Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic compliance program, including policies, procedures, and controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
- Oversee and manage high-level compliance activities, including risk assessments, audits, and monitoring to proactively identify and address compliance risks.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks to adapt the compliance program and ensure ongoing adherence.
- Lead and direct internal investigations into compliance issues, breaches, or violations, and develop and implement effective corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to integrate compliance considerations into business strategies and operational processes.
- Provide expert guidance and training to executive leadership and staff on complex compliance issues, fostering a strong culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
- Prepare and present detailed compliance reports, updates, and recommendations to the board of directors and senior management.
- Manage and mentor a team of compliance professionals, promoting professional development and ensuring high performance within the compliance function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; JD, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading complex compliance programs.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
