Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations, including SEC, SOX, and GAAP. Stay updated on changes in regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain financial compliance policies and procedures. Ensure these policies are effectively communicated and understood throughout the organization.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial compliance risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure a proactive approach to compliance management.
- Audits and Reviews: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits related to financial compliance. Prepare audit documentation and respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to finance and accounting teams on compliance-related matters. Foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on compliance status, issues, and improvements to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate current compliance processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders regarding financial compliance issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial compliance or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of managing compliance programs and successfully handling audits.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
