Job Summary: The Venture Capital Event Planner will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing a variety of events, including pitch sessions, networking gatherings, industry conferences, and investor meetings. - Event Planning & Coordination:
- Design and execute event concepts, themes, and agendas in alignment with company objectives.
- Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual needs, transportation, and accommodations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure event requirements are met.
- Vendor & Budget Management:
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Attendee Engagement & Communication:
- Create and distribute event invitations, manage RSVPs, and coordinate attendee communications.
- Develop and implement strategies for maximizing attendee engagement and satisfaction.
- On-Site Event Execution:
- Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring all aspects are executed according to plan.
- Provide on-site support to address any issues and ensure a smooth event experience.
- Post-Event Analysis:
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and measure event success.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for future events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in event planning, preferably within the venture capital or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successful event execution and project management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as needed.
