Venture Capital Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Venture Capital Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our firm's operational processes. This role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations, streamlining workflows, and supporting our investment and portfolio management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight:
• Manage and optimize the firm’s operational processes and workflows.
• Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking investments, due diligence, and portfolio performance.
• Oversee administrative functions including office management, scheduling, and vendor management.
• Financial Management:
• Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of investments and financial performance.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow and manage expense reports.
• Data Management:
• Maintain and enhance the firm’s databases, including CRM and investment tracking systems.
• Ensure data integrity and security, and manage data entry and reporting processes.
• Support for Investment Team:
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of investment materials, including pitch decks and reports.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between investment professionals and portfolio companies.
• Compliance and Governance:
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of legal and compliance documents and reports.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead or participate in projects aimed at optimizing operations and systems.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in operations management, ideally within a venture capital, private equity, or financial services firm.
• Strong understanding of venture capital operations, investment processes, and financial management.
• Proficiency with financial software, CRM systems, and office productivity tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
