Venture Capital Research Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Venture Capital Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to support our investment decision-making process. You will work closely with senior investment professionals to identify promising investment opportunities, evaluate market trends, and provide actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on emerging industries, technologies, and companies.
• Analyze financial statements, business models, and competitive landscapes to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and assess valuation.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations to investment teams.
• Monitor industry news, trends, and developments to stay informed about market dynamics and potential investment targets.
• Assist in due diligence processes, including gathering and analyzing relevant data, and coordinating with portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and investment professionals to support deal sourcing and evaluation efforts.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSF) or relevant certifications (CFA) preferred.
• Experience in investment research, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably within venture capital or private equity.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and generate actionable insights.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with financial databases (e.g., PitchBook, CB Insights) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
