The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing private credit investments, as well as developing relationships with borrowers and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Investment Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in the private credit market. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of deals through networking and industry relationships.
- Underwriting & Analysis: Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including financial modeling, credit analysis, and risk assessment. Prepare detailed investment memoranda and present findings to the investment committee.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, assessing performance and implementing necessary strategies to mitigate risk and enhance returns.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with borrowers, financial sponsors, and industry partners. Act as the primary point of contact for portfolio companies and stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead junior team members, providing guidance on credit analysis, underwriting processes, and deal execution.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting private credit. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CAIA) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or investment banking.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of credit analysis and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across various stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and managing private credit investments.
