ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field, or combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
Recommended Experience: 3-5 years of experience in drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment and/or environmental consulting
Certifications: Must have a valid Class A (industrial) or Class I (municipal) wastewater operator license and must be able to obtain/maintain Class B, II license, other state equivalent, or WT3, WT4, or DSM license, or other state equivalent
Skills: Strong verbal/written communication
Additional requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and physically capable of operating vehicles safely
This classification requires travel to various client locations resulting in occasional longer workdays; and may include extended and/or further travel, resulting in multiple days and overnights. Long-distance drives and air travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all projects are performed safely.
- Provide oversight for typical field activities such as wastewater sampling, reading meters, and groundwater sampling.
- Independently oversee all aspects of operations for individual facilities.
- Coordinate junior staff to obtain OIT at low-to-mid level facilities.
- Prepare for and lead project kick-off meetings.
- Complete or oversee permit application, renewals, and modifications.
- Maintain up-to-date data across multiple facilities
- Communicate with clients and Operations Manager on facility performance and needs.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing.
- Assist company and client goals through the development of proposals and new projects.
- Knowledge of operations for facilities up to and including Class B, II, WT3, WT4, or DSM
- Familiarity with water-related regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in industrial or municipal wastewater treatment.
- Skills in organization, scheduling, and time management
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
