Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist - Program Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
The director develops, administers, and supervises the daily operation of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), 20 hours weekly. Hybrid.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration and Management:
- Ensure adherence to the organization's mission, focusing on the delivery of quality psychiatric rehabilitation services for children and adolescents.
- Schedule and monitor client appointments, ensuring compliance with service frequency requirements.
- Oversee offsite and onsite services, ensuring timely documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
- Emphasize services on rehabilitation, skill development, symptom management, and community reintegration for children and adolescents.
- Provide supervision and guidance to staff to maintain service quality and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement orientation and training programs for new employees, covering essential areas such as HR policies and HIPAA compliance.
Staff Supervision and Development:
- Conduct annual performance reviews, setting professional development goals for staff.
- Offer consultation and support to staff, including debriefing sessions for challenging situations.
- Conduct regular supervision to monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to documentation requirements.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Maintain accurate client records meeting Medical Assistance standards and licensing regulations.
- Verify insurance coverage, submit authorizations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Review and comply with HIPPA policies for securing records and conducting quality assurance audits.
- Handle reports of abuse or neglect promptly, implementing quality improvement programs as necessary.
- Implement new policies and procedures and report relevant issues to the Program Director.
Client Services and Community Outreach:
- Provide information and referrals to children, adolescents, and their families, connecting them with appropriate resources.
- Conduct intake assessments, crisis interventions, and coordinate admissions and discharges.
- Develop and implement family education services and conduct quality service surveys.
- Provide backup clinical care to clients and participate in after-hours on-call supervision.
- Offer educational training to families, caregivers, and the general public as needed.
Planning and Community Organizing:
- Attend community meetings, report relevant information to the Executive Director, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors with CPRP, CFRP Certification
- Maryland LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C or
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatric rehabilitation or related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in child and adolescent mental health services.
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, families, and community stakeholders.
