BASIC SCOPE / PURPOSE:
The Project Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished goods of the project to ensure they meet the specified quality standards. This role involves identifying and approving products for shipment, repackaging as necessary, and rejecting defective items by quarantining them for further review. The inspector will document and report all findings to the Quality Supervisor, while collaborating with various teams to ensure the quality of goods.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect finished goods for compliance with defined quality criteria before shipment.
- Identify products that meet quality standards, repackage them and approve for shipment.
- Identify defective products, quarantine them and report the defects to the Quality Supervisor.
- Consistently apply quality standards throughout all inspection processes.
- Work closely with project management, engineering and shipping teams to address quality concerns as they arise in the project.
- Plan and prioritize inspection tasks to ensure they are completed on time and do not delay project timelines.
- Adapt to changing requirements or standards throughout different phases of the project.
- Use digital tools, spreadsheets or platforms to record and analyze inspection data.
