Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching academic, social, and motor skills to students. The successful applicant will be required to prepare course objectives, administer tests, and maintain accurate attendance and grade records. Additionally, they will be expected to counsel pupils when adjustment and academic problems arise, discuss pupils' progress with parents, and work cooperatively with the total staff.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training. They should also possess valid certification to meet State requirements with specific endorsement in the area to which assigned. Applicants with prior teaching experience must have an acceptable rating for such teaching.
Work Environment:
The work environment is generally quiet, with minimal noise levels. The employee will frequently stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle materials, and occasionally lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
