Teaching Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners;
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and promote academic achievement;
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly;
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment;
• Stay up-to-date with developments in subject area and pedagogy through ongoing professional development;
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture;
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and programs;

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year accredited College or university;
• Valid certification to meet State requirements with specific endorsement in the area in which assigned;
• Demonstrates command of Standard English, both spoken and written; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals; Ability to write reports; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of teachers, parents, students, and the general public;
