Augusta County Fire Rescue is currently seeking interest to develop a Fire-Rescue Lieutenant Eligibility List. Our goal is to complete the assessment center process on or around February 26, 2025. The list will become effective on March 1, 2025 and will be valid for six months or at the Fire Chief's discretion.
We are looking for progressive, highly motivated individuals to fill future openings for the position of Fire-Rescue Lieutenant. At this point we are soliciting for interested candidates who intend to participate to determine the resources necessary to facilitate the process.
Minimum Certifications required:
- 3 years experience in a combination system
- Virginia Office of EMS Emergency Medical Technician or higher
- Class III EVOC
- Fire Instructor I
- Fire Officer I
- NIMS ICS 300
- VDFP ITR Module II
- VDFP Vehicle Extrication
- VDFP Mayday FF Down
- NFA Incident Safety Officer
- Driver Pump Operator (DPO)
- Driver Aerial Operator (DAO)
Preferred Certifications - but not required to apply:
- Fire Officer II
- VDEM Hazmat Technician
- VDFP Technical Rescue Technician
- ALS Provider
- Leadership I
- NFA Building Construction
- 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role
