Retail and Merchandise Internship (Starts February/March 2025)

As part of this internship, you will receive a stipend for your expenses of $600 a month to cover your local living expenses and free housing.

Our team is looking for a full-time Retail Management intern. In order to be qualified for this program you must be a very recent college grad (December 2024 or May 2024), we can work with local candidates that are in a program and will be graduating in Spring 2025.

This is not a role that pays, it is a role where we will teach you, how to manage a sports related retail store- and handle the same job a Retail Manager would have for a venue that is in sports.

Duties And Learning Include The Following

• Learn how to order merchandise.
• Handle the administrative duties of scheduling staff, hiring staff, managing their schedules and time cards.
• Work in tandem with Marketing to make sure all online retail efforts are effective.
• Work at all games and events and make sure all customer needs are met.
• Learn how to manage people and manage retail operations for a sport's team.
• Train on POS system (sales, returns, exchanges, etc.), online shop, shipping processes, maintaining inventory and then manage and handle the processes.
• You will learn how to use our inventory program, as well as how to handle: purchase orders, inputting invoices, receiving product processes.
• You will oversee our Instagram and Email Marketing with assistance by Merchandise Manager & Director of Marketing.
• You will build your knowledge of our stock room and products sold and how to prepare reports for accounting.
• You will greet, assist and cash out customers on non-game games and game days.
• Other duties as assigned, for the retail department after you have been properly trained.
  
  

Qualifications

• Candidate must be local and have their own housing.
• Candidate must have graduated May/December 2024 or anticipated Graduation May 2025 from a college or university in related field, we will work with a student who is local and graduating.
• Must be present for every GreenJackets home game, as well as occasional special events held at SRP Park, as assigned by your manager, which can include long hours, weeknights, weekends, in various weather conditions.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Previous retail experience a PLUS.
