What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT position at Augusta Health Brand?
Performs clerical/registration functions to aid in the efficient operation of the Diabetes and Nutrition Outpatient Program. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to interact with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Must be computer proficient and work in an efficient and organized manner. Able to post charges, schedule patients for individual practitioner as well as classed and review denials from 3rd party payors. Prepares patient packets and markets to referral offices. Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to other clerical duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- 1 year of experience required
Skills
- Computer skills to include data entry as well as people skills to deal with registration of patients as well as phone referrals.
- Annual Augusta Health educational requirements and unit specific competencies as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator.
- Proficiency in computer programs required to perform the job. This included, but not limited to: Meditech, Registration, Payroll, staff calendar, and CQI.
