The AMG Office Practice Administrative Assistant l performs duties as assigned that include receptionist, secretarial and operational duties for Physician Office Practice, while serving as the liaison between the patient, other staff and the physician.
Initiates implementation of processes and or has access to all operational components of the office as required by daily operation.
Access to operational components of a practice includes access to physician’s office, medical records, medical supplies.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required
- Three to Five (3-5) years of Administrative office support experience
- Medical office experience preferred
- Requires a strong understanding of general office routines and procedures with the ability to file accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; proficient with computers to include keyboarding, navigation and use of email (Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and duties with deadlines
- Ability to work with multi-line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently
- Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients, visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality
- Ability to transcribe documents
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
