What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician Outpatient Retail Pharmacy *up to $10,000 sign-on bonus position at Augusta Health Brand?
Ability to interpret and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting. Develops expertise in all areas of pharmacy distribution (order entry, pull and count, front register, inventory management and patient care including Transition of Care discharge prescription program).
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Desired:
At least 6 months preferred, but not necessary.
Experience in a retail position working directly with the public preferred, but not necessary.
License Requirements:
Licensed by Commonwealth of Virginia
National Certification
Skill Desired:
Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to be a team player.
Willingness to learn new skills and make changes as needed.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
High level of patience and compassion while taking care of patient and customer needs.
Reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
Ability to learn and use pharmacy software. Working knowledge of electronic third party claims submission.
