What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Radiology RN- Full Time, Sign-On, Student Loan Reimbursement position at Augusta Health Brand?
Provide nursing care in the day-to-day operations for pre and post procedural duties for scheduled and unscheduled patients and procedural nursing support. IR Nurses must demonstrate and have knowledge of an office setting and assist the IR Radiologist with patient care, education, patient recovery and pre and post testing for patient visits. The IR Nurse will apply the various nursing skills, such as assessment, identifying problems, record keeping and documentation of the medical record, evaluating needs, etc., in caring for patients in the Radiology Department.
Experience
3 years of clinical experience as an RN
Education Requirements
ADN
Education Desired
BSN
Experience Requirements
One year of R.N. experience in critical care or procedural nursing
Intermediate competence in the application of nursing process
Experience Desired
Previous angiography, procedural, and or cardiac cath experience desired
Previous Critical Care experience preferred
License Requirements
Current Virginia state R.N. licensure
Skill Requirements
Intermediate problem solving and decision-making skills
Intermediate teaching skills
Intermediate competence on tertiary care nursing skills
Effective communication and interpersonal relationship skills
