What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Augusta Health Brand?
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting the project team within the Facilities and Construction Department at Augusta Health to provide support with the completion of construction and renovation projects including administrative functions. The position assists Engineering, Construction, and Associate Project Managers with all projects and assists with managing smaller capital projects in the hospital setting.
Responsible for working with department team to assist in project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, invoicing and control, while providing coordination efforts in specialty areas. The Project Coordinator responsibilities span a broad spectrum and the position interacts with several entities, both internal and external.
The position requires the flexibility to both provide project support and to lead small projects as directed by the Director of Facilities Projects & Construction.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in project coordination is required.
Prior experience in construction administration/documentation Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe preferred.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate computer keyboard skills necessary for sending and receiving e-mails, assembling word documents, updating project status milestones, processing construction documents with construction management software.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism in high stress situations.
- Exhibits professionalism, trustworthiness, honesty and integrity.
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously with a wide variety of people including hospital staff, visitors, and vendors.
- Possesses mathematical aptitude to review invoicing and billing and to scrutinize purchase order and contract material orders.
- Ability to work with individuals on all levels and build productive relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with various software including: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
- Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to meet schedule deadlines.
